When I think about the highlights of my life, the very best parts, my mind always lands here.
The parenting part. The loving a child part.
That is when everything started to make sense. That is when I understood why I am here.
Thirty five years ago today the Canadian sky could not decide what it wanted to do. Snow or rain. So it gave us both. Grey clouds, messy weather, the kind of day that feels undecided.
But that was the day the sun shined the brightest in my life.
Because that was the day you arrived.
And I learned something I had never known before. Love could feel like this. 🩷 🌞 🩷
